Sean & Pamela's Philadelphia
Adventure Day Two
May 28th, 2003
Veteran's Stadium
New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies

With the evening upon
us, it was time to catch a Phillies game at The Vet.

the seats
A few fans of Jose
Padilla sat in the outfield upper deck. Notice that some of the
seats are not blue (such as the one that's circled). These were
seats where home runs have reached. Here's a close up of one such
seat:
There were over 90 "Vet
Blast" seats (which were auctioned off when the stadium was torn
down). Still, the most famous home run in the stadium's history
was hit on June 25, 1971 by Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh
Pirates. It's spot was marked with the Stargell Star (click the
photo to see where the star is located)
Here's
more about the Stargell Star home run
We had a little more
time to wander about the stadium before the game started.

The Phanatic danced on
the dugout.
The Phillies won the

And The Phanatic

With the game over, we
