The Archaeological Adventure

As members of the Last Crusaders, we were called to get a clue card and proceed to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Our Master Clue Card (can you spot the typo?)

Outside Pirates of the Caribbean, we were handed another card with questions.  The card instructed us to take certain letters from the answers and place them in given numbered spots.  After solving the first clue card, we rode Pirates of the Caribbean.  Just in case we hadn't solved any of the clues, a belly dancer stood on the bridge before the first drop, and gave clues to those who asked.  If nobody needed help, she would chat with the guests.  The ride on Pirates was fun, as always.  After our ride, we were handed a second clue card that would instruct us where to go next.  We decided that, before heading off to our next attraction, we wanted to have something to drink.  We exchanged our coupon for our refreshment — mai tais (yes, with real rum) served in plastic coconuts.  As we obtained our drinks, they were setting up the dessert buffet inside Tropical Imports.

My, what a lovely bunch of coconuts

The mai tai was delicious. (Those who only wanted the coconut container could get an unused one wrapped in plastic.) When we solved the card, we proceeded to the Indy attraction to continue our adventure.  Again, we were handed two different clue cards to answer while we walked through the attraction.  When we reached the ride, we had to split up as Pamela was not feeling well enough to be jostled around violently.

I chatted with the cast members while Sean rode the attraction.  — Pamela

The ride was fun as always.  There wasn't anything different or special for the attraction.  Also, somehow it seemed appropriate that, despite visiting the Temple of Earthly Riches, upon our return, Sallah greeted us as if we had visited the Fountain of Youth. — Sean

After exiting the ride, we were given another clue card.  Again, we split up.

I was feeling tired, so while Sean went to Tarzan's Treehouse, I enjoyed dessert.  — Pamela

At Tarzan's Treehouse, we had two more clue cards.  To get the second one, I had to do a "short round of belly dancing". — Sean

With the clues in hand, we were able to decipher our final instructions.  As our reward, we obtained an "ancient artifact" which we had to unearth.

Ah! It's a metal box.

It contains a pin
Surprise! The box contains a pin.

We've seen the image on the pin before...
Tee shirt with the same logo as the pin
This long sleeved tee shirt has a logo almost the same as the pin (except that the pin doesn't have the exploding plane or truck)

Just because you didn't attend doesn't mean you can't try to decipher the clues.  If you want, click here to see all of the clue cards. (Use the arrow keys to navigate. Adobe Reader® is required; Click here to download.)

With our expedition completed, we knew that the next portion of the event would soon begin.
