january 11th 2005:

Bunny is cranky as he was just woken for this lovely shot taken from the door of the bedroom. Sean moved his penthouse into the bedroom so he'd still have a view. =)

Bunny nose. Maybe this was the real reason bunny didn't like getting bothered: super close flashphoto of his nose! =P *awww! poor bunny!*  I thought it was really nice detail so it's included anyway.  =)

Princess Kiki cat enjoys her morning view from her perch atop the new Condo Sean got the cats (so far Kiki seems to be using it the most!) This is the reason the Alexander bun's penthouse was moved to another window (where he likes to nap in a dark quiet spot anyway).

However... there are certain things you just don't do!

kiki shows what she thinks of Sean's idea to toss out her ragged ol' Martinelli's box we brought home from Costco over a year ago (yes, it came with us from Berkeley!)  =P

the sad thing is, Sean thought he had thrown away the box as a last ditch attempt to keep the coddling to a minimum. I in turn believed him because our living room has been such a mess during the holidays and while sorting through the last of the office boxes that had yet to be unpacked and gone over (until after we moved our desk into the liiving room)..  I found the box right where one of the kittys had kicked it off the table. On the floor, just out of reach & sight of either of us silly humans.  Suffice to say, we have only 2 boxes yet to be sorted and have reclaimed a good portion of the living room back!  =P  Ok, so that said...  here's a rare treat:

Kiki still defending her turf and Alexander caught taking a drink from his mug (which they both use). It's rare because we don't often get photos of the kittys together in one shot.  =) they're a little 'red eyed' as we used the flash on them.  =)


January 13th, 2005: new catbath redo.. mostly complete..
Usually something like this would go on our IKEA JUNKIES page.. however, our guest bath is used for the most part by two 4-legged bunnies.. aka: our furkids. In an attempt to make it more human & guest friendly a couple key items were purchased for the redo. We were out and about the other day & happened to be nearby a local BB&B. We picked up a new etegere so we could have a nice setup for towels & toiletries for the use of ourselves & our company  as well Sean came across a lovely peri & mauve-y curtain set on clearance at 10bucks! It's mainly translucent but for the fishies on it and matching fishy curtain hooks. We didn't put the curtain up yet as Alexander has a tendancy to eat anything plastic. 


the new etegere really does wonders for the naked bathroom..  Because it's the 'catbath' we put some light reading: cat related titles that we owned or were gifted to us.  =)  (normally I wouldn't have books in the bathroom but again, this room is used mainly for the cats, and as a spare facility when the other is occupied).  Of course Kiki just assumed the etegere was for her.. and she made herself at home for a nap..   =)

kiki is a little disgruntled that I bothered her yet again from getting the well deserved beauty rest she needs. She is after all a very refined Princess (who isn't above hiding out on top of the toilet to get away from Alpha Bunnies.. aka: Alexander PP Rouse, who is often harrassing his big sister for no other reason than he can.)



ok.. it's a sink! (other than the catbox and repurposed guest soaps & shampoos) that's what it is.. but it's also a clutter free sink that I felt the need to photograph before we started using it to charge the cellphone or the GBA unit.  =) Oh, and Dave if you've ever wondered where BASTET has been living since you got her at BGT, now you know..  =) (and if anyone can come up with a less tacky way to keep the soap from gooping up that doesn't involve the repurposed  Thai Kitchen© noodle bowl, let us know.. otherwise... stop laughing!
