Well the day started off at about 7am with a wake-up call from no one! Yes that’s right.. I had put in for a wakeup and looking forward to Mickey or Goofy… or someone.. I grabbed the phone when it rang. There was no one there! What’s with that??? I can’t believe the moderates don’t have Mickey wake up calls.  Oh well.  Hopefully this was just temporary we had hoped. We found it was something else, which will be mentioned in the next installment of our TR.  We moved on with our day.

We had an 830am PS at Tony’s and didn’t want to be late. As it was we just made it on the bus and after a zillion stops around the resort it moved on to PO- French Quarter and stopped at their lobby before heading to MK.  This is a real downer and made me miss ASMu again.. But at least we were sitting. Sean had the good idea that we could walk to the food court in the morning to get our coffee/soda and catch the bus at the stop there, but by the time we got to that stop it was standing room only for the folks that got on there.  I really didn’t like that at all.  So maybe not unless we leave earlier in the morning.

We got to MK and I was so full of excitement.. They were just setting up & opening when we rushed in at 831am and so we went to look at the pins in the adjoining store when we heard our names called.  Sean & I wore our wedding Mickey ears so we were very noticable. The CM ushered us in and awaiting us at our table was ribbons and Mickey Mouse confetti!  It was very pretty and very nice of them to go to the extra effort for us.  We sat down and ordered coffee and OJ and I got my usual, the Tony’s French Toast and Sean got the waffle which had an imprint of Lady and the Tramp on it!  I also got a side of breakfast potatoes which I shared with Sean. I really like these but boy was I stuffed!  I asked our server Natalie to sign my autograph book, which she did as well as get Tony & Joe’s stamp and Lady and Tramp’s pawprints!  I scooped up a small bit of confetti to glue into my book later as well have some for a friend of Sean’s who collects different confetti.  Natalie took our photo by the fountain and then we were off!

We found Snow White out & about on the veranda and  I got her autograph and then we head over to City Hall where Randy the CM stamped my book rather reluctantly I thought.  I put a word in for Natalie and he seemed to blow it off so Sean said “You should just write a letter” so I am thinking I will.  Randy was probably a good CM but Natalie was fantastic! =)

We next meandered over to get a fastpass for Splash but the machine was down.  We instead got one for Big Thunder but never actually rode it.  Instead we had wandered around checking out the progress of Aladdin’s ride in Adventureland, (still not open) and considered going to Belle’s Storytime in the garden, but by the time we got there it had already started. We were in Tomorrowland and rode the TTA which was a nice break. It was terribly hot & I marveled at the fact I am now completely acclimated to California now.  After TTA Sean wanted to at least ride the Lilly Belle, but we were so sleepy that we just went back to the resort for a nap.

The bus was unmarked as well as there was no sign so we had to ask where to go. The bus dropped us off a different spot than the one that was heading back to the resort.  When we got on, we were a little apprehensive as it stopped at the PO- French Quarter lobby first and then at the PO-R lobby where we got off as we found out it doesn’t make stops at individual bus stops during the day. We looked around in the gift shop for a few moments then headed back to our room.

*Special Note:  While in the gift shop I was looking at some t-shirts and a woman walks up to me and asks if I can help her.. “Excuse me?” She says “Do you work here??” um.. Lessee.. I was wearing shorts, t-shirt, video camera around the neck and my slightly broken Vivitar in one hand.  “Uh.. No I don’t”  She seemed surprised and walked away and Sean & I can only figure she was confused by the White Mickey hat I wore. I really don’t know how they can confuse another vacationer with legitimate costumed CMs but it gave me a laugh and we moved on.

*Special Note:  Outside our building we had a cute bunny rabbit grazing on the grass. I don’t know if these are wild or bred by Disney but it was very neat moment & Sean grabbed the video camera from me and got it on tape!

After our nap it was about 3pm or so and so we took some time getting ready to go to our 530pm PS at Whispering Canyon.  Sean looked it up on the internet so he would know how to get there and we headed out.  We were seated over in the left side of the restaurant about one table over from the HCA entrance.  Our server Chris was very friendly and didn’t seem to go overboard on the schtick like some of the other CMs.  I did get a kick out of the other tables asking for ketchup.. One server called out loudly to everyone to please pass the ketchup and one fellow stood up and walked across the room so a little boy at the table next to us could us it.  Our server played a joke on Sean when he went to use the restroom by asking him if he washed his hands.. “What color is the soap?” Chris asked and when Sean replied the server corrected him with some untrue answer.  Later as we were sharing our dessert (a delicious apple pie a la mode) Chris got everyone’s attention in the room and had us come to the center of the room where he had everyone clink their glasses to get us to kiss.  Very cute!  Before we left, another CM server had a couple celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary stand up and kiss. Then the husband had to ride around the room on a wooden stick horse then go to the lobby and sing “You are my Sunshine” at the top of his lungs.  Chris smiled and asked me “Now aren’t you glad I didn’t make you do that?”  Yes, I replied then asked if Sean would be the one to do the horse thing which he said yes, so I amended my answer to “Well you know it wouldn’t be that bad…”  <g>

After dinner we ended up going to the Belz Outlet by accident, (we were searching for a Publix on I-drive and not finding it, went ahead and visited the outlet).  We found Brer Rabbit beans for 2.99 and I picked one up. We had wanted one for one of the themed tables at our wedding reception but were unable to find any as they are now unavailable at Disneyland.  We had seen a few at the “Pooh Patch” (my name for the Briar Patch store near Splash) but Sean told me to hold off. I am glad I did. This plush bean is NOT a replacement for my over-loved Brer Bunny, but just a mint version to be added to my small Disney bean collection.. Biscuit, Sean & I are too attached to Bunny to ever think to replace him!  =)

Next we went to Fantasia Gardens for a round of mini golf.  We had been wanting to check it out for a while but always seemed to run out of time on our visits to the World.  I was keen on doing Winter Summerland, but Sean said Fantasia Gardens came highly reccomended by our West Coast pals, so we went. We have our WDW  Annual Passes so it was buy one get one free and I got a couple refillable mugs with cute Fantasia motif on them.  We ended our game and turned in our clubs and got our last refill just at 11pm.  Patty the CM who served us also gave us a couple Fantasia Gardens 5th Anniversary buttons with the May 20th date on them (the day we went on our honeymoon!)  She said they celebrated the day before but she had a few left and told us that she hoped we would enjoy the rest of our visit and to be sure and come back.  =)

Well back at the hotel we relaxed. Sean developed a bad headache and we weren’t sure how our next day would go.. what park we would go to or whether we would go to a park at all.  We both got a bit of a bug from eating the wraps we had gotten at Ralph’s Sunday morning. The Turkey wrap I ate made me sick that night and some of today and just as I was feeling a bit better, Sean got a little sick.  He had ate maybe 2 bites of my wrap so I don’t know if that was it or his wrap was bad as well after sitting in our backpacks for about 4 hours before eating them.  Who knows.. but suffice to say, we will be getting some more well-deserved rest tonight!  =)
